Yuka Kawazu was born in Kanagawa, Japan. She has had an extensive career performing in dance and theatre throughout Japan. Yuka has performed professionally in the United States in a variety of corps, solo and principal roles with the Nevada Dance Theatre, the New York Ballet Ensemble, American Ballet Russe, Classics Dance Theatre and the Staten Island Ballet and as a Principal Guest Artist in various US companies. She has also performed professionally in theater as a featured soloist in "The King and I". Yuka also has been teaching at New Dance Group, Broadway Dance Center, 92nd St. Y Harkness Dance Center and other studios in NY and NJ.

Yuka joined Octavia Cup Dance Theatre in 2004.
